I've turned down movie roles before, says controversial businessman Kenny Kunene

Kenny is set to return to TV screens in the next few weeks, when he appears as himself in a recurring role on popular e.tv soapie Rhythm City.

But speaking to TMG Entertainment on Friday, the businessman revealed that his acting might have actually landed him on the big screen by now, had he not turned the opportunity down.

“I was approached to be in a local film but I turned it down because the character just wasn’t right. I don’t want to go into any details but I felt like it didn’t fit in with who I am,” Kenny explained.

So, what kind of role is right for Kenny, then?

“I could play the role of a pastor – because I am a religious man – but I could not, for example, play the role of a sangoma,” laughed Kenny.

Kenny is of course no stranger to cameras or TV screens, having previously starred in his own TV reality show, So What.

Still, Kenny is excited to be returning to Rhythm City again.

“I just finished shooting another episode with the show and it was amazing. The first time I appeared on the show -back in October last year- I was a little nervous but they made me feel comfortable. And so when I returned this time it was a walk in the park and I really felt like I was part of the family,” Kenny said.
