AKA doesn't regret his 'rages': Stop f*cking with me

AKA’s alleged “violent behaviour” once again came under the spotlight this week, when he admitted to throwing a fan’s phone off a balcony for trying to take a picture of the rapper without his permission.

The incident caused a stir online, as fans flooded social media with open letters to AKA lambasting his behaviour. They united together under the #DearAKA hashtag, which trended on Twitter through Thursday and Friday.

Adding her voice to the frenzy poet and musician Ntsiki Mazwai also took to Twitter to criticise AKA and claim that the rapper allegedly once tried to “physically attack” her during one of his supposed “rages”.

TMG Entertainment reached out to AKA and his management for comment on Ntsiki’s claims and were told simply that AKA “has built a strong brand over the last 5 years with Vth Season playing an instrumental role”.

“AKA made history today with his new GQ cover for the October Issue and 2 X nominations at this year’s MTVBase Award. We can talk about that…” AKA’s manager Benza said.

Meanwhile, the rapper has since taken to Twitter to defend his behaviour.

AKA went on to claim that he has “hugged many stage invaders since, and taken 1 million pictures and snaps” but said that he it was all about “approach and timing”.

AKA recounted a recent incident where he was videoed while taking his daughter to a restaurant in Johannesburg.
