Newly-elected National Organiser of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) wants people comparing him to his opponent from the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammy Awuku to put a stop to it.

He likening the fight between him and Sammy Awuku to father-son battle which will be in his favour.
“I always laugh anytime I hear people compare me and Awuku. How on earth can a son beat his father? Hell no. I will beat him hands down because he is my son. In fact, his people should get him strong walking aid crutches because, by the time I finish with him, I’m not sure he can even stand on his feet,” he bragged.
Joshua Akamba polled 3087 votes to beat his closest contender, former MP for Akwatia, Baba Jamal to 2,107 votes in a competition which also included former Organizer, Yaw Boateng Gyan who staged a comeback.
He is taking over from Kofi Adams who did not seek re-election.
